Step into a contract opportunity supporting students as a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in the Greensboro, NC area. This full-time position runs from ASAP through late May 2026, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per weekall on-site within a dynamic and collaborative school setting. Your dedication and professional expertise will make a meaningful impact on student communication skills across a variety of age groups. The number of school sites will be determined based on district needs.
Your contributions will be key in delivering supportive speech and language services, always under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. The ideal candidate is committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment and strives to empower students to reach their full communication potential.
Required Qualifications:
- Hold active state registration for SLPA practice
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt, communicate effectively, and coach students of varying developmental levels
- Commitment to full-time, on-site presence
- Flexibility to attend an internal eligibility interview (prescreen) during offered time slots
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted speech-language therapy interventions, both individual and group, following the guidance of supervising SLPs
- Accurately document student progress and maintain compliance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student IEP goals
- Adjust approaches to meet diverse student needs and caseload requirements, as assigned
