This contract position offers the opportunity to serve as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) within two elementary schools in the Baltimore area, Maryland. The role involves working on-site across two school locations with students in PreK through 5th grade, providing essential speech and language support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language intervention services to elementary students (PreK-5th grade)
- Collaborate with school-based teams to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings and communicate with families regarding student development
- Adhere to all district policies including House Bill 486 requirements (background check, fingerprinting)
Location and Schedule:
- On-site assignment at Magnolia Elementary (3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
- Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days per week: Monday, Wednesday)
- Total hours per week: 37.5
- Contract duration: February 16, 2026 through May 29, 2026, with potential extension into a 4-week Extended School Year (ESY) program in July 2026
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant
- Experience working with school-aged children (PreK-5th grade) preferred
- Successful completion of district-required background check and employment history verification
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in multiple school environments and collaborate with educational teams
