Job Description

Step into an engaging contract opportunity supporting students at two vibrant campuses serving grades K-8. As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), youll play a vital part in a full inclusion environment, working with children who have mild to moderate needs and high-functioning social cognition profiles. Youll help foster communication growth in a collaborative school setting with a deep commitment to student success.

Your week will follow a steady Monday through Friday, 7:45am to 3:15pm schedule (35 hours weekly), providing services and support across both primary (K-3) and upper elementary/middle school (4-8) campuses. Enjoy a dynamic caseload focused on social thinking, communication, and fostering inclusion without the complexity of moderate-severe cases.

Requirements:

  • Valid California State SLP or SLPA license (required)
  • Experience supporting students in a school setting preferred, but passionate new professionals with proper supervision also welcomed
  • Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists in an educational team environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to support varied caseloads
  • Flexible, positive attitude and an inclusive mindset
  • Commitment to professional, compassionate, student-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services as directed by supervising SLP
  • Support communication goals for students across inclusion classrooms (mild to moderate disabilities)
  • Track progress and maintain documentation as required
  • Collaborate with education teams and participate in IEP processes
  • Encourage social thinking, language, and communication within general education settings
