A full-time Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available in Fort Myers, FL, supporting students across multiple elementary schools. This role focuses on serving children in diverse educational settings, providing a caseload of 50-55 students. The assignment includes working two days per week at one elementary school and one day per week at another nearby location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to students specific communication needs.
- Deliver direct speech therapy services to children under supervision.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records as required.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student success.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license is mandatory.
- Previous fingerprint clearance via AHCA Clearinghouse preferred or willingness to complete fingerprinting and obtain a JLA badge.
- Experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50-55 students effectively.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
