Job Description

Make a meaningful impact on students lives as a contract Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in the Fort Myers area for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This role offers a chance to support a diverse caseload of approximately 50-55 students, making a tangible difference every day across several local school campuses. Full-time schedules (up to 37.5 hours per week) are available, with potential flexibility for part-time arrangements to suit your needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting Speech Language Pathologists with implementing treatment plans for elementary and middle school students
  • Conducting speech and language activities under supervision
  • Monitoring, recording, and reporting on student progress
  • Collaborating with educators and support staff to foster student success
  • Traveling between assigned schools within the district

To excel in this opportunity, you should possess:

  • An active Florida Department of Health SLPA license
  • Prior experience supporting students in educational settings (preferred)
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage caseloads across multiple campuses and adapt to varying age groups
  • Commitment to timely credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting and obtaining a JLA badge as required by Florida law
