Step into an impactful part-time role supporting students across multiple campuses near Fort Myers as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA). In this school-based position, you'll play an essential part in helping learners develop their communication skillsmaking each week truly rewarding. This contract opportunity is available immediately and runs through early June 2026.
As an SLPA, you'll provide in-person support two days per week: serve K-8 students at Hector A Cafferata Jr K-8 School for one day, and work with high schoolers at Riverdale High School for another. Manage a diverse caseload of approximately 5055 students, collaborating closely with supervising pathologists and school staff for maximum impact.
What Youll Bring:
- Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license required
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is highly desirable
- Must complete Florida fingerprinting and credentialingprevious prints may be transferrable with proper verification and a current JLA badge
- Excellent teamwork, organization, and communication skills
Your Key Responsibilities May Include:
- Following treatment plans and goals developed by supervising SLPs
- Supporting students individually or in small groups
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Consulting with teachers, staff, and families to ensure collaborative care
- Ensuring compliance with school and state regulations
This part-time contract is designed for those seeking a balanced commitmentjust two days per week, with exposure to a range of ages and school settings. Compensation is based on years of experience, ranging from $28$40 per hour.
