Support early learners as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant in a rewarding contract position based onsite. This role offers the unique opportunity to make a difference each day, working alongside experienced professionals while helping Pre-K students develop essential communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active CA SLPA License required
- Experience with early childhood (Pre-K) populations preferred
- Strong collaboration skills to coordinate with lead SLPs and school staff
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage a caseload of approximately 55 students
- Commitment to fostering an encouraging, engaging learning environment for young children
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist
- Carry out planned interventions for Pre-K students as outlined in IEPs
- Collect and document student progress data, contributing to regular assessments
- Collaborate with educators, families, and the supervising SLP to address individual needs
- Support classroom integration of communication strategies and activities
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as needed
