This contract position focuses on K-12 learners for the month of July, providing a structured Monday through Thursday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. This role is ideal for those passionate about making a positive impact in a school environment, collaborating with educators and speech-language pathologists to deliver quality support.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Connecticut SLPA license or equivalent education/experience required
- Previous experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred
- Strong understanding of speech-language development and therapy strategies
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Adaptability and confidence working across various age groups and communication needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist SLPs in delivering speech and language services to students
- Implement individualized education plan (IEP) goals and track student progress
- Prepare materials for sessions and support lesson planning
- Record and maintain accurate documentation and data collection
- Engage with students in a supportive, constructive manner
- Participate in team meetings as required
