Job Description

Bring your passion for supporting students communication needs to a dynamic role serving multiple school locations in the vicinity of Falls Church, VA. As a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) on a contract basis, youll collaborate closely with educators and licensed SLPs to encourage speech and language growth in school-aged children across several campuses. This opportunity allows you to make a measurable difference for students from August 24, 2026, through June 12, 2027, with a steady full-time schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours daily).

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Speech or Communication Disorders is required
  • Eligible for, or possession of, a Virginia SLP license (SLPA license is not recognized in Virginia)
  • School-based experience or familiarity with educational settings, especially serving diverse student populations
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel between multiple school locations as assigned (please include your ZIP code when applying)

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language intervention services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and document student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
  • Prepare instructional materials and help monitor classroom participation
  • Maintain all required documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
