Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with communication challenges in the vibrant Prince William County area. This school-based role provides Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) services to dedicated campuses in Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge for the 2026-2027 school year. Make a direct impact while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of educators and specialists.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Communications, Speech-Language Pathology, or Communication Disorders.
- Strong foundations in speech and language development, intervention strategies, and student engagement.
- An SLPA license is not required for this role in Virginia.
- Prior experience in educational or pediatric settings strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Support students in achieving individualized speech and language goals.
- Adapt activities and materials to help students access curriculum and improve communication skills.
- Collect data, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other support staff to create supportive learning environments.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute valuable input to student care plans and IEPs.
