An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide invaluable support to students in a collaborative educational environment. This contract role spans multiple elementary campuses and offers the chance to make a lasting impact on childrens communication skills and success.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences, or a related field (SLPA license not required in VA).
• Experience in school settings preferred, particularly with elementary-aged children.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and take direction from supervising Speech-Language Pathologists.
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy services to students with communication and language disorders.
• Implement treatment plans and interventions designed by the supervising SLP.
• Assist with documentation, progress monitoring, and record keeping in accordance with school policies.
• Foster an encouraging, supportive setting for students to develop confidence in their communication abilities.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school personnel to enhance student outcomes and integrate therapy goals within the classroom.

This assignment will begin as soon as possible and continue through June 11th, 2027, following a consistent 35-hour weekly schedule (7 hours/day). You'll play a vital role in a caring and student-centered educational community where your expertise will be valued and utilized each day.
