Desired Qualifications:
- Associates degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Current SLPA licensure in Oregon or eligibility to obtain
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a therapy or educational context preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach
- Strong organizational abilities for managing documentation and schedules
- Basic technology proficiency for digital recordkeeping
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language therapy plans as developed by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists
- Work directly with students to practice articulation, language, fluency, and social skills in both individual and group sessions
- Track students progress, maintain detailed records, and report observations and data to supervising SLPs
- Assist in preparing therapy materials and adapting activities for classroom integration
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support students learning goals
- Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development related to speech-language services
