Job Description

Step into a rewarding role supporting students communication needs as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant for the 20262027 school year in the Baltimore area. This full-time, on-site contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively within a school-based setting and make a real impact on students daily lives.

The assignment begins September 2, 2026, and concludes June 17, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Youll be part of a multi-disciplinary team, helping children reach their communication goals while supporting licensed speech-language pathologists.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Maryland Professional Licensure required for practicing SLPAs
  • Previous experience within school-based environments, especially those involving children and adolescents, is preferred
  • Ability to present images of licensure as part of the onboarding process
  • Commitment to completing all credentialing and compliance, including House Bill 486 background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Positive attitude and dedication to fostering student success and inclusion

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support a caseload of students with diverse speech and language challenges under supervision of an SLP
  • Implement therapy activities based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Track student progress and prepare detailed reports
  • Collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families
  • Adapt activities to accommodate differing needs across assigned schools
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality
