Job Description

School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) K5

We are seeking a caring and motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to support K5 students in a school-based setting. Under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, the SLPA will assist in providing speech and language therapy services to help students improve communication skills necessary for academic and social success.

Responsibilities

  • Implement speech and language therapy activities designed by the supervising SLP
  • Provide direct support to K5 students in individual and small group settings
  • Assist with articulation, language, fluency, social communication, and AAC goals
  • Collect data and document student progress during therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student success
  • Prepare therapy materials and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in team meetings and follow IEP guidelines and district policies

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or related field
  • Active state SLPA license/certification
  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

Compensation for this position ranges from $27.00 to $55.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
