Job Description

An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-5 students within an active elementary school setting in Daphne, AL. This full-time, on-site role will focus on assisting with speech and language interventions to enhance students communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language services to K-5 students under the supervision of certified Speech-Language Pathologists.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed to meet student-specific goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school policies.
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and staff to support students communication needs.
  • Participate in student evaluations and provide input when appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current registration as an SLPA with the Board of Speech Examiners.
  • Prior experience working in school settings with elementary-aged children (K-5) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development in children.
  • Ability to follow treatment plans and document student progress accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and school personnel.

Location: Daphne, Alabama
Setting: K-12 Elementary School
Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours/week
Duration: March 2025 through May 22, 2026
Caseload: K-5 students
