Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Associates degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a closely related field
  • Valid SLPA license or eligibility for licensure in Alabama
  • Previous experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Familiarity with implementing speech and language intervention plans as directed by an SLP
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic approach to student support

Core Responsibilities:

  • Carry out therapy activities and interventions designed by supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Assist in providing direct and indirect services to students with a variety of speech and language needs
  • Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and track data for ongoing evaluation
  • Prepare materials and resources to enhance therapy sessions and student engagement
  • Support teachers and staff with strategies that facilitate student success in the classroom
  • Participate actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities
