Job Description

Embark on a rewarding summer contract supporting students communication growth as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for an Extended School Year (ESY) program. Work with a dedicated team in a vibrant elementary school environment, utilizing your expertise to make a meaningful impact over several focused weeks.

This opportunity runs from July 6 to July 23 and is designed specifically for professionals who thrive on helping children enhance their speech and language skills. Youll collaborate with supervising SLPs and educators to implement therapy sessions, track progress, and encourage student participation.

Schedule Overview:

  • July 6 July 9: 8:30 am 12:30 pm (student time 9:00 am 12:00 pm)
  • July 13 July 16: 8:30 am 2:30 pm (student time 9:00 am 2:00 pm)
  • July 20 July 23: 8:30 am 2:30 pm (student time 9:00 am 2:00 pm)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota SLPA license
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to follow treatment plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support SLPs in delivering direct therapy to students
  • Facilitate speech and language activities as outlined in IEPs
  • Document session outcomes and maintain detailed records
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all learners
  • Adjust strategies to fit individual student needs
