Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting student communication needs as a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the vibrant Southeast Texas coastal region. This full-time contract position offers 35 hours each week starting August 10th and continuing for approximately the first six weeks of the school year. As the districts direct hires complete their required observation hours for licensure, youll play a critical role in ensuring continuity of care for students across multiple schools. Up to four professionals are needed for this assignment, with caseload specifics to be clarified soon.
Your expertise will make a significant difference as you work under the supervision of a speech-language pathologist to facilitate and support the development of students communication skills in a dynamic school environment. Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active Texas SLPA license is mandatory
- Prior school-based SLPA experience preferred
- Availability for a full-time, six-week contract (possibility of extension TBD)
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Commitment to quickly completing Texas fingerprint requirements, if not already done
- Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary school support team
