An engaging opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to work within a school setting serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This onsite, full-time position offers a regular 40-hour workweek and is located in Copperas Cove, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering therapy services to K-12 students
- Assist with speech and language assessments and interventions according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to promote effective communication strategies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to program development
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) certification is required
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans and work collaboratively within an educational environment
- Commitment to supporting student success and development
