Seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide support services in a school setting located in Chula Vista, CA. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with certified speech-language pathologists to assist students in improving their communication skills and achieving their educational goals.
Responsibilities include assisting with speech and language therapy sessions, implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting student progress, and collaborating with educators and therapists to support students' communication development. The SLPA will also help prepare materials and maintain therapy equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certification or license
- Experience working with children in a school or clinical setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow therapy plans and accurately document progress
- Commitment to supporting student success and working collaboratively with educational teams
