Make a difference supporting students as a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic educational setting near Chula Vista, CA. Desired Qualifications:
- Active SLPA license in California required
- Previous experience in an educational or pediatric setting highly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow treatment plans created by licensed SLPs
- Organizational skills and ability to manage caseload documentation efficiently
- Commitment to fostering student growth and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement speech and language programs designed by supervising SLP
- Assist with screening and evaluation under direction of SLP
- Work one-on-one and in small groups with students to improve communication skills
- Document student progress and prepare materials for therapy sessions
- Participate in IEP meetings as required and support SLP in tasks related to student care
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to encourage carryover of skills across settings
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as district policies
