Job Description

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active SLPA licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Iowa
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication development

  • Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) under the supervision of an SLP
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in small groups or one-on-one
  • Assist in developing materials and activities tailored to each students needs
  • Record and maintain accurate data on student progress and session notes
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and other school staff
  • Support SLPs with assessments and screenings as needed
  • Foster an encouraging and respectful environment that supports learning and growth
