Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid SLPA certification or license as required by state regulations
  • Previous experience in a school setting is a plus
  • Strong understanding of speech and language development in children
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to implement therapy plans as directed by SLPs
  • Organizational skills to maintain records and prepare therapy materials
  • Compassion, patience, and a commitment to student well-being

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing therapy services to students
  • Conduct group and individual speech-language sessions under supervision
  • Follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and document student progress
  • Prepare and organize therapy activities and materials
  • Observe, record, and report student responses
  • Communicate regularly with SLPs, teachers, and parents as appropriate
  • Participate in meetings and ongoing professional development opportunities
