Qualifications and Experience Needed:
- Current Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license valid in California
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, though not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches for various age groups and communication needs
- Professional, reliable, and ready to work onsite in a dynamic school environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and record student progress
- Create engaging activities that foster language and speech skill development
- Maintain accurate documentation of all therapy sessions and student interactions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and fellow support staff to optimize learning outcomes
