Step into a rewarding role supporting students in a K-12 setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) and help empower young learners to reach their full communication potential. This full-time, onsite contract position offers the satisfaction of making a meaningful impact while working closely with students and educational staff.
As an SLPA, you will collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and other professionals, providing direct therapy and progress monitoring for students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. Your expertise will contribute to the ongoing development of each childs communication skills within a dynamic and supportive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLPA license required
- Previous experience in K-12 educational settings is highly valued
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability and a collaborative mindset in working with diverse student populations
- Ability to implement individual and group therapy sessions as directed by supervising SLP
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services according to student IEPs under SLP supervision
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide feedback to the educational team
- Support classroom teachers by incorporating communication goals in daily activities
- Assist in screening and assessment processes as needed
- Foster a positive learning atmosphere focused on each students unique abilities
