A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available in the Baltimore, MD area, serving two elementary schools within a local school district. This contract role is scheduled from mid-February through late May 2026, with the potential to extend into a 4-week Extended School Year (ESY) program in July. The role will require on-site attendance, with a 37.5-hour workweek split between Magnolia Elementary School (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays) and Prospect Mill Elementary School (Mondays, Wednesdays).
Responsibilities:
- Support speech-language pathologists in providing services to students from PreK through 5th grade.
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with team members.
- Participate in school-based meetings and contribute to collaborative interventions.
- Adhere to all district and state requirements, including background checks and credentialing.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland professional licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
- Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including district background check and fingerprinting.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to student support.
Location:
- Magnolia Elementary School, Joppatowne, MD (3 days/week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
- Prospect Mill Elementary School, Bel Air, MD (2 days/week: Monday, Wednesday)
