Make a difference every day supporting students in a dynamic school setting as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a contract assignment near Aurora, IL. This opportunity allows you to work closely with certified Speech-Language Pathologists and dedicated educators to help children reach their communication goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Associates degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program, or related field
- Valid SLPA licensure for the state of Illinois
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Adaptable, positive, and patient demeanor
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services under supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist in implementing IEP goals through individual and group sessions
- Prepare materials and activities to support communication skills development
- Accurately document and report students progress
- Participate in team meetings and provide input regarding student needs
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
