Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant in a dynamic school environment near Apex, NC. This position is set to begin in August 2026 and continue through June 2027, offering the chance to support students communication and learning as part of a dedicated educational team.
Interviews will take place in mid-May, with the expectation for full-time, on-site work supporting a caseload and school assignment to be determined following the hiring process. Youll use your experience with school-based therapy and documentation to make a meaningful impact throughout the academic year.
What is needed to succeed:
- Registered (or eligible for registration) with the North Carolina speech board; previous temporary SLPA registration accepted
- Experience providing therapy and documenting services within a school setting
- Proficiency in using Google Drive and MS Office for reporting, communication, and organization
- Strong communication skills with students and educational staff
- Willingness to handle a range of ages and needs, supporting assigned caseloads as directed
In this role, you will:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy under supervision, supporting students IEP goals
- Document all services and maintain privacy and compliance with district requirements
- Collaborate with supervising SLP, teachers, and families to ensure students progress
- Attend and contribute to team meetings as needed
- Utilize technology for secure and accurate documentation and communication
Upon hire, you will be assigned a supervisor and will begin the NCBOE registration process if not already completed.
