Job Description

Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting students in Prince William Countys Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge areas as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant. This contract role allows you to work closely with students and educators throughout the 2026-2027 school year, making a measurable impact in communication development and academic success.

Begin your assignment on August 24th, 2026, with a commitment through June 12th, 2027, working a consistent schedule35 hours per week, 7 hours per day. Your background in Communications or Speech-Language will be instrumental in enhancing student outcomes in a vibrant, diverse educational setting.

Qualifications sought:

  • Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or related field required
  • Experience supporting speech/language services in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
  • Outstanding communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, speech-language pathologists, and support staff
  • No SLPA license required in Virginia; must meet educational requirements

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in implementing individualized education plans under SLP supervision
  • Supporting students with various communication disorders in small groups or one-on-one settings
  • Preparing and organizing materials for therapy sessions
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of student progress
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to a collaborative, nurturing school environment
