Licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistants are invited to build valuable experience while collaborating alongside experienced professionals in a contract position devoted to student growth and communication.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active SLPA license valid in Arkansas
- Prior experience in an educational or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate attitude toward students
- Ability to collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists, teachers, and support staff
- Organized, reliable, and adaptable to changing needs throughout the school year
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to students as delegated by a supervising SLP
- Assist in implementing therapy plans, interventions, and activities tailored to each students needs
- Document student progress, session notes, and related data under supervision
- Support SLPs with preparation of materials and activities
- Communicate effectively with educators and parents as appropriate, maintaining a positive and supportive environment
- Monitor and encourage student participation to foster growth in communication and social skills
- Contribute to a team focused on student success and inclusive learning
