Make a meaningful difference in the lives of middle school students by applying your expertise as a Speech Language Pathologist in a supportive educational environment. This is a contract-based, full-time opportunity offering hands-on engagement with students in grades 6 through 8. Youll work onsite, collaborating with teachers, families, and fellow clinicians to support student communication, language, and social-emotional development.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Active Michigan SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but not required
- Previous professional experience in a school setting
- Background in pediatric SLP, healthcare SLP, or teletherapy is highly valued
- Experience supporting students at the middle school level
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students with speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans according to IEP goals
- Collaborate closely with educators, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Provide both direct and consultative services to help students achieve their communication goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
