Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as an on-site Speech-Language Pathologist serving preschool students in Adams County. Make a significant impact by supporting children ages 3 to 5 with special education needs in the New Oxford and Gettysburg areas. This itinerant position follows a 188-day preschool calendar, offering structured hours and dedicated time for documentation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Possess Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC); clinical fellows (CFY) will also be considered
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children, particularly those requiring special education support
  • Ability to travel between sites within Adams County as required
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic speech-language services to preschool students across multiple locations
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals in partnership with families and interdisciplinary team members
  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and progress monitoring
  • Maintain accurate records with dedicated weekly paperwork time
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to facilitate language-rich learning environments
  • Attend meetings, contribute to multidisciplinary discussions, and participate in ongoing professional development
