This opportunity is for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support within a school setting, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade in Yazoo City, MS, with travel to multiple locations including Jackson, Rolling Fork, and Vicksburg. This role offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible through June 2023.
Responsibilities include conducting speech and language assessments, evaluations, direct therapy, and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address a range of mild to moderate general and special education needs. The position requires the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations across multiple schools.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology with CCC-SLP certification
- Valid Mississippi SLP license
- Experience working in pediatric healthcare, schools, or teletherapy settings
- Ability to manage a caseload involving assessment, treatment, and IEP development
- Familiarity with speech therapy approaches for varied mild to moderate disabilities
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion preferred
