A rewarding opportunity is available for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) to provide vital services within K-12 educational settings in Yazoo City, MS. This contract position offers the chance to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) delivering a range of speech-language pathology services to students with mild to moderate general and special education needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations
- Provide direct therapy services tailored to individual student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Serve students across varied disabilities within both general and special education settings
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Mississippi State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Experience working in school-based and pediatric settings preferred
- Knowledge of teletherapy service delivery is a plus
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are encouraged to apply
- Strong skills in assessment, therapy planning, and IEP development
Location and Schedule:
- Contract role based in Yazoo City, MS, supporting K-12 students
- Expected start date as soon as possible, through June 2023
- 37.5 hours per week commitment
- May also work in nearby locations including Jackson, Rolling Fork, and Vicksburg, MS
