Job Description

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Yazoo City, MS, supporting K-12 students within a public school setting. This contract position offers a 37.5-hour workweek and focuses on delivering comprehensive speech-language services to students with mild to moderate disabilities across general and special education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Provide direct therapy sessions tailored to each students goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with school policies

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Valid Mississippi SLP license required
  • Experience in pediatric speech-language therapy in school settings
  • Familiarity with teletherapy services is advantageous
  • Open to Speech-Language Pathologists completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
  • Strong skills in working with school-aged children and managing caseloads effectively

Location:

  • Primary assignment in Yazoo City, MS, with consideration given to nearby locations such as Jackson, Rolling Fork, and Vicksburg
