An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to work within an elementary school setting serving grades K through 5 in Wyoming, MI. This full-time, in-person role offers a supportive environment to deliver speech and language services to young learners, fostering their communication development and academic success. Part-time applicants will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify and diagnose communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student evaluations, treatment plans, and progress.
- Participate in meetings and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Experience working with children in grades K-5 preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a school environment with diverse student populations.
