Make a meaningful impact helping elementary students thrive in their educational journey by providing speech-language pathology services in a supportive in-person setting. This contract opportunity extends through the remainder of the school year and is ideal for those passionate about working with young learners in grades K5. The position offers a full-time, 37.5-hour workweek, but consideration will be given to skilled part-time candidates eager to contribute.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly in a school setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking abilities
- Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Comfortable delivering both direct and consultative therapy services in person
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and communication assessments for K5 students
- Design and deliver effective intervention plans tailored to students individual needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success
- Document progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in accordance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based solutions
- Educate peers and parents on strategies to encourage optimal speech and language development
