Job Description
A school-based Speech Language Pathologist is needed to provide specialized support for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. This role involves working onsite in Wyoming, MI, supporting communication development and speech improvement for young learners. The position offers a part-time schedule of 22+ hours per week under a contract arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-5 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress
- Maintain detailed records of student evaluations and therapy sessions
- Utilize evidence-based techniques and interventions to help students achieve speech and language goals
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Michigan Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Experience working with young children in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development in early childhood
- Ability to work collaboratively within an educational team
