Qualifications & Requirements:
- Active Michigan SLP license required
- Experience or comfort working with elementary (K-5) caseloads
- Familiarity with educational environments and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and work effectively both independently and with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Deliver engaging and effective therapy sessions onsite for students in grades K5
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized goals
- Monitor and document student progress, updating plans and strategies as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations for student development
- Maintain compliance with school policies, state guidelines, and ethical standards for practice
