This contract position offers the chance to work with students from pre-kindergarten through high school, tailoring interventions to support their unique communication needs.
Preferred qualifications and requirements:
- Valid SLP license and ASHA certification
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school settings
- Skilled in assessments, treatment plans, and therapy for a variety of speech and language disorders
- Comfortable collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Able to effectively support students in early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school environments
- Commitment to fostering communication growth in learners across ages and abilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in Pre-K, elementary, middle, and high schools
- Conduct assessments, write detailed reports, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Consult with teachers and caregivers to implement strategies that enhance students access to curriculum
- Support IEP development and documentation, ensuring compliance with educational requirements
- Track student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Educate and empower families regarding carryover of therapy techniques at home
- Attend professional meetings and participate in school-based activities as required
