This rewarding contract role is ideal for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with a passion for pediatric and adolescent care, and offers the opportunity to work with learners from Pre-K through high school in a supportive educational environment near Woodbridge, VA.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active and valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with pediatric populations (infant through high school)
- Proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech/language disorders in educational settings
- Comfortable supporting students in early childhood, elementary, and secondary grade levels
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students in Pre-K, kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school settings
- Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and student records
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents on strategies to enhance communication and language development
- Participate in IEP meetings and help design accommodations for diverse learner needs
- Offer direct and consultative services tailored to each students unique strengths and challenges
