Step into a rewarding part-time contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services to elementary students. This on-site role serves one dedicated campus, working closely with a supportive educational team to make a tangible difference for young learners. As an SLP in this setting, youll leverage your expertise to help students overcome communication barriers through therapy, collaboration, and creative interventions.
Qualifications:
- Current, active Virginia SLP license required
- School-based SLP experience preferred; open to clinicians with a passion for pediatrics
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Comfortable working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to adapt to the unique needs of an elementary age population
- Completion of a district-specific TB test and on-site background check prior to starting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality speech and language services to elementary students
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and implement evidence-based therapy
- Maintain organized documentation and progress notes in compliance with school standards
- Communicate regularly with teachers, families, and fellow specialists to support student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering clinical insight and advocating for students needs
- Empower students to maximize their communication skills in the classroom setting
