Job Description

Step into a rewarding school-based role supporting students with speech and language needs in the vibrant Washington DC metropolitan area. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse range of age groups and skill sets across elementary, middle, and high school settings. The academic calendar begins August 3, 2026, and concludes May 27, 2027, encompassing the full 185-day school year.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Virginia SLP licensure required
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Comfortable working with caseloads spanning all school ages
  • Ability to complete and clear a VA Dept. of Social Services background check and TB test promptly
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with staff, students, and parents

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, devise and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), and deliver therapy to students with speech and language disorders
  • Serve multiple campuses (exact assignments to be determined) in a full-time capacity (37.5 hours per week)
  • Provide direct, on-site supportremote or hybrid options are not available
  • Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations and required documentation
  • Collaborate actively with a team of educators, administrators, and families to help each student achieve academic and social success
