Step into an exciting contract opportunity supporting students in various schools in the Dale City, Dumfries, and Woodbridge areas. Help make a meaningful impact throughout the 2026-2027 academic year by providing high-quality speech-language pathology (SLP) services where students need them most. The position begins August 17th, 2026, and runs through June 12th, 2027, offering a stable and rewarding experience as part of a school-based team.
Responsibilities in this role include conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering direct intervention, and collaborating with educational staff and families to facilitate students communication and learning success. With a consistent weekly schedule totaling 35 hours (seven hours per day), youll be able to build strong, ongoing relationships with your caseload.
To thrive in this role, youll bring:
- Current VA SLP license (required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or eligibility (we also welcome strong Clinical Fellows)
- Experience in a school setting or enthusiasm for working in educational environments
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to onsite delivery (remote options are not available for this opening)
Key duties include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments
- Crafting and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Providing direct therapy to students with communication challenges
- Maintaining detailed documentation in compliance with school and district policies
- Consulting with teachers and families to ensure student success
