Job Description

Exciting contract opportunities are available for skilled Speech-Language Pathologists seeking a rewarding school-based position for the fall semester. Three full-time SLP positions are open starting September, covering a 12-week maternity leave period with a weekly commitment of 35+ hours. Roles are available in settings that serve elementary-aged children with diverse needs, including those with high Autism and preschool populations (grades K-5). Caseload assignments are tailored to your expertise, and work is strictly onsite.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current New Jersey SLP License
  • Valid NJ Speech-Language Specialist (SLS) Certification
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) highly preferred; strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered (must provide their own supervision, as the district cannot supply it)
  • Experience working in school settings, with preference for backgrounds supporting students on the Autism spectrum and early childhood populations
  • SLPAs will not be considered for these openings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-5 students, including those with significant Autism and preschool needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student communication goals
  • Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals
  • Conduct required assessments and write evaluation reports
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
