This position is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP or SLP-CCC) passionate about helping school-age children succeed in their communication and academic goals. Whether you're a seasoned clinician or an SLP-CF (with supervision available), youll find a collaborative environment where your expertise creates an immediate impact across the district.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license in North Carolina (NC)
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CF accepted (district supervision available for SLP-CF)
- Recent experience within a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with supporting students diagnosed with Autism (AU) and those with low cognitive disabilities is highly valued
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt to flexible caseloads and thrive in a team-oriented environment
- Please note: SLPA certifications are not being accepted at this time
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to a diverse student population, serving up to 35 students per caseload
- Deliver evaluations, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster student progress
- Adjust treatment plans based on student needs and caseload preferences (discussed during the interview)
- Engage in regular professional communication with district staff
