Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students communication and learning as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist with a contract opportunity for the upcoming school year. Working in a dynamic educational environment near Winston-Salem, you will collaborate closely with other dedicated professionals and serve students across schools in the East and Southern portions of the district.

What Were Looking For:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active North Carolina SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred (SLP-CF candidates are welcome; district supervision is available)
  • Strong background or willingness to work with students with Autism (AU) and low cognitive disabilities
  • School-based SLP and IEP experience preferred
  • Comfortable managing a caseload of up to 35 students
  • Commitment to a full-time, contract position from August 12, 2026 to June 11, 2027
  • Dedication to positively influencing student development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to ensure holistic support for each student
  • Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in relevant meetings
  • Adapt to changing caseload preferencesthe district is flexible and will discuss the best fit during the interview process
