Job Description

A K-12 educational setting in Winnsboro, LA, is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students across a range of communication needs. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to student development within a committed school environment for the 2026 calendar school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
  • Provide direct therapy and consultative services to support students' communication skills
  • Monitor progress and adjust interventions to meet student needs effectively
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations related to special education services

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid licensure or certification to provide school-based speech therapy services
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children in a K-12 setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of disabilities affecting communication and experience tailoring therapy accordingly
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and families

Location: Winnsboro, Louisiana
