Step into a rewarding contract position supporting students communication and learning outcomes at a school setting near Winchester, VA. As a valued Speech-Language Pathologist, youll provide crucial services from July 27th, 2026, through May 28th, 2027, offering dedicated care and expertise to help students thrive academically and socially.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Virginia SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working in educational or pediatric settings strongly desired
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify speech, language, voice, or fluency disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible students
- Deliver direct therapy services within the school environment
- Consult and collaborate with educators and caregivers regarding student progress
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and related documentation
- Offer guidance on augmentative or alternative communication as needed
- Contribute proactively to multi-disciplinary school teams
