Step into a vital role supporting students communication needs in a dynamic school setting near Wilmington, DE. This contract opportunity seeks a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist who can impact learners both within the school environment and by assisting students who are medically homebound. Starting August 25, 2026, and continuing through June 8, 2027, this flexible position is open to full-time or part-time professionals, offering a consistent Monday through Friday schedule with up to 37.5 hours per week.
Ideal candidates are committed to improving student outcomes and thrive in varied settings, collaborating with educational teams while providing one-on-one and group interventions. The primary location will be at a school yet to be determined, with additional responsibilities supporting homebound students as needed. Caseloads will fluctuate throughout the year, and clear communication with district staff and families is essential.
Qualifications:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license for Delaware (DE)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric speech therapy strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt to both in-school and homebound settings
- Exceptional documentation and communication skills
- Dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive environments for students with diverse needs
- Submission of a current resume and DE SLP license for consideration
Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy to K-12 students
- Evaluate and monitor progress, adjusting intervention plans as needed

- Serve both traditional school caseloads and homebound students requiring specialized care
