Job Description
Provide vital speech-language pathology services to students and make a meaningful difference throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. Dedicated professionals with a passion for supporting childrens communication needs will find rewarding, onsite contract opportunities in a warm, collaborative environment near Wilmington, DE.
Three positions are available, and the roles are not virtual. Each offers a unique student caseload and enriching experiences:
Available Positions:
- Itinerant Early Childhood (SLP-CCC): Deliver services to early learnersmust hold ASHA CCC. (Not open to SLPA, CF, or virtual.)
- Springer Middle School (General Education, Grades 6-8): Open to SLP-CF candidates passionate about helping older students (not open to SLPA or virtual).
- Mount Pleasant Elementary B.R.I.D.G.E.S Program: Support classrooms with students having intensive/complex needsmust hold SLP-CCC. (Not open to SLPA, CF, or virtual.)
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Active Delaware SLP license
- ASHA CCC required for itinerant and B.R.I.D.G.E.S positions
- SLP-CF eligible for middle school role
- Recent school-based experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Committed to onsite work; no virtual option available
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver individualized speech-language therapy
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Maintain compliant, detailed documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and student support teams
Schedule:
- 37.5 hours per week, MondayFriday
- Early Childhood Hours: 8:25 a.m.3:55 p.m. (schedule may slightly adjust)
- 30-minute paid lunch break
