Job Description
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in an elementary school setting, working with students in grades K-5. This in-person position is located in Willis, MI, and offers a supportive environment focused on early childhood speech and language development.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapy for speech and language disorders in elementary-aged children
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff to create individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Supporting students' communication skills to enhance their academic and social success
- Maintaining detailed records of student progress and therapy sessions
- Participating in school meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with elementary school children, ideally grades K-5
- Knowledge of speech therapy techniques applicable to the school environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with school teams
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet diverse student needs
This contract position covers the remainder of the current school year, offering 37.5 hours per week with the possibility of part-time consideration. Benefits are available for qualified candidates, providing additional support throughout the contract period.
