Job Description

Step into a pivotal onsite role supporting K-12 students with essential speech-language services. As a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, or potentially a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, you'll contribute expertise in assessment, direct therapy, and collaborative educational planning. The position offers 35 hours per week, allowing you to make a significant impact within a supportive school environment while expanding your skills through diverse casework.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Virginia SLP license is a must.
  • Meet all relevant state and district requirements for school-based speech-language services.
  • Experience with pediatric and school-based caseloads is highly valuable.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within educational teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, staff, and families.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-12 students.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Present findings and recommendations in IEP meetings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Supervise and support an SLPA, fostering a collaborative and effective therapy environment.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, progress reports, and compliance with district guidelines.
  • Engage with educators and families to maximize student success through communication support.
